PrintScreen

On previous generation laptop models from Dell and VAIO, a screenshot can only be taken by pressing Ctrl + PrintScreen. It is also worth checking the activity keys Fn in BIOS. It can be disabled or assigned to another function. When it is not possible to take a screenshot using PrintScreen in any of the above combinations, then, most likely, third-party software is installed that overrides this functionality.
If there is no PrintScreen button in the working area, then you can call digital analogue of a standard keyboard platform means. This problem is relevant for old Asus and Toshiba laptops. Open the search box of the platform and enter «On-Screen Keyboard». We select the application, after which we click on the PrintScreen key already on the digital version. The utility is located in the «Ease of Access Center» section.

You can take a screenshot of the current window by pressing Alt + PrintScreen. That is, as a result, the clipboard will contain an image without a taskbar (relevant for platforms on Windows 7, 8 and 10).
You can save individual parts of the screen using the standard software of the platform: the program is called «Scissors». Before taking a screenshot of the screen on a laptop, open the search box of the platform and enter «Scissors».
Next, run the application and click on the «Create» button.
