How to effectively train with fitness rubber bands?


Expander and elastic bands (in fact, they are one and the same) are the most popular functional simulators. Ideal equipment for muscle tone, getting rid of problem areas and sagging, creating a toned and elastic body. The advantage of all expanders is a uniform load along the stretching path.


1. The ability to adjust the level of stretching, that is, the load during training.2. Three levels of resistance. Regardless of your fitness level, you only need three bands to adapt to different exercises to achieve results. Each level corresponds to a certain color of the tape. The level of resistance during exercise should be chosen according to your capabilities.

  • Heavy — Purple — 15 — 20 kg

You need to feel a good load, but the technique should not suffer. I use an expander for arms and back with a resistance of 5-10 kg — and this is enough to work out my arms and back with high quality, while doing a large number of repetitions of 3 circles. For the buttocks, thighs and legs I use an elastic band with a resistance of 10-15 kg. But I did not come to this right away: I started with a resistance of 5 kg.

3. The most effective exercises with an elastic band are focused on the development of the muscles of the legs and buttocks. Moreover, the buttocks will be rounded without “swinging” the quadriceps. From such training, the muscles are always in good shape, they are beautiful and elongated.

4. When the muscles are loaded, the efforts for the joints are minimized, as with a standard fitness training. 5. If it is impossible to work with weight, the elastic band will be an excellent analogue. Training with elastic bands is ideal for those who are contraindicated in loads with additional weight due to the load on the spine. But we need a coach who will find an approach and select the load individually, since there are certain contraindications that must be taken into account.

The convenience is that with expanders and elastic bands, I can do a full-fledged workout and load my body — at any time. This is an absolute must have, which helps to keep fit always and everywhere. And for training it is not necessary to go to the gym.

It usually takes about an hour, but if you do not rest in between, you can do it in 30 minutes. Basically I do 20 reps. And I repeat the set three times. I work out 3-4 times a week. In fact, training is a way of life for me. It’s like drinking warm water with lemon on an empty stomach or brushing your teeth. After all, this is not only a tribute to fashion, but also a long-term investment in your own health. I believe that how a person looks at 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 years old depends not only on genetics, but also on himself. How much you put into yourself is how much you get out.
