How to choose twin needles for your machine?

We select the distance between the needles: For example, ORGAN needles provide a choice of 1.4; 1.6 to 6 mm. It is important to note that the distance between the needles should not exceed the maximum zigzag width in your machine. For example, for a model with zigzag parameters up to 5 mm, needles with a distance of 6 mm will not work.
Installing the needle: First check the quality of the needle. Are there any defects, curvature on it. Turn the needle sideways. A high-quality double needle in this position will be similar to a single one. Turn the needle with a cut flask away from you, insert it into the needle holder and secure. Check through the central position of the needle how evenly it enters the inter-needle space.
Threading threads: The threads must be the same thickness. Otherwise, the seam will loop, there will not be enough tension for a thin thread, and a thick thread will take it over. Place the coils in the holders so that in the process one spins clockwise, the other counterclockwise. So the threads will not twist while sewing. We thread both threads at the same time and only at the end we spread them along the needles. Lower the needle down, turn the flywheel towards you and remove the bottom thread. Before sewing, set the straight line, the center position of the needle, the stitch length choose as you like. Sew a few stitches, make sure everything is tucked in correctly.
